Myride2, the Area Agency on Aging 1-B’s nationally recognized one-call, one-click mobility management service will be adding travel training to the current services of driver safety and finding transportation options. Certified Travel Trainers will lead group, individual, and peer trainings to educate and instruct older adults and adults with disabilities on how to independently use fixed route, advanced reservation curb-to-curb (Connector), community, and ADA services offered from public transit providers including SMART. These classes will cover system orientation, familiarization, transfers to other systems, one-on-one, train-the-trainer components as well as a hands-on trip on a bus.
