About the Training

The program is designed for first time and returning riders who need assistance using public transportation in Oakland, Macomb and Western Wayne Counties. One-on-one assistance is also available as needed. The class is designed for older adults + adults with disabilities. Classes are approximately 2 hours, and refreshments are served.

Increase your independence with the ability to travel when and where you choose, use public transportation with confidence, and keep active in your community. Our travel training program teaches participants the fundamental skills needed to travel independently and how to navigate community, connector, ADA and fixed-route buses.

Travel Training is a great tool for improving or maintaining your ability to get where you need to go for older adults and adults with disabilities.
