The program is designed for first time and returning riders who need assistance using public transportation in Oakland, Macomb and Wayne Counties. Certified Travel Trainers lead group, individual and peer trainings to educate and instruct older adults and adults with disabilities on how to independently use fixed route, curb-to-curb (Connector), community and ADA services, Classes are FREE, approximately 1- 1 1/2 hours, and refreshments are served.
Transportation can be the key to independence. The use of public transportation options can help seniors get to the store, medical appointments, recreational activities, and any destination accessible within their service boundaries.
