Paratransit service provided by the Detroit Department of Transportation (DDOT) for individuals with functional limitations who are unable to use fixed-route service. This is an origin to destination service and provides door-to-door service on request or when necessary. Same Day Service is available through DDOT Now. Rides may be requested as quickly as one hour in advance. DDOT Now trips and availability are limited Monday – Saturday 6:00am – 7:00pm. Same Day Service can be accessed by calling 313-570-6845.

The DDOT ADA Paratransit service area includes any address that measures 3/4 of a mile or less from a DDOT regular fixed route bus stop.

Eligibility Requirements:

Must fill out Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Eligibility Package and be approved for ADA service. If approved, an ID card will be issued reflecting your status.

Advanced Notice Needed:

1 to 14 days in advance on a first come, first serve basis. Call Monday through Saturday between 8:00am - 4:00pm to request rides. DDOT Now Same Day Service requires at least 1 hour advance notice. Call Monday through Saturday between 6:00am - 6:00pm to request same day rides.
